Larry Clemmons

Biography

Born on November 25, 1906 in Chicago, Illinois. Died July 22, 1988 at age 81 in Friday Harbor, Washington. Animator Larry Clemmons first worked for the Disney animation department during the 1930s. He then became a scriptwriter on Bing Crosby's radio show. During the 1960s, Clemmons returned to Disney to provide the screenplays for three animated features, The Jungle Book, The Aristocats, and The Rescuers. He also wrote the introductions to Disney's weekly television show.
