A Very Brady Christmas is a 1988 American made-for-television Christmas film starring the original cast of the 1960s sitcom The Brady Bunch. The film was directed by Peter Baldwin and written by Florence Henderson and Eve Plumb. It premiered on CBS on December 11, 1988. The film takes place during the Christmas season of 1988. The Brady family is living in Chicago, where Mike (Robert Reed) is now a successful architect and Carol (Florence Henderson) is a homemaker. They have three children: Marcia (Maureen McCormick), Jan (Eve Plumb), and Cindy (Susan Olsen). Greg (Barry Williams) is now a doctor, and Peter (Christopher Knight) is a lawyer. Bobby (Mike Lookinland) is a college student, and the youngest Brady, Oliver (Christopher Daniel Barnes), is now a teenager. The Bradys are planning a big Christmas party for their friends and family. However, their plans are interrupted when Mike's father, Sam (Robert Young), comes to visit. Sam is a wealthy businessman who has recently lost his wife. He is also estranged from his other son, Peter, who is a successful businessman in New York City. Sam's arrival causes tension in the Brady household. Mike and Carol are worried about how Sam will react to their humble lifestyle. They are also concerned about how Sam will react to Peter, who is very different from the rest of the Brady family. However, Sam eventually warms up to the Bradys and becomes a part of their family. He also helps Peter to reconcile with his father. The Bradys have a wonderful Christmas, and they learn the true meaning of the holiday.
