Description

ʻThe Klansmanʼ is a chilling insight into the racial tensions of the US Deep South and how the rape of a white woman gives vent to uncontrollable andger and bloodshed. Lee Marvin stars as Sheriff Track Bascomb in this violent stort of how relationships disintegrate into a bloody battle between the ethnics groups; on one side the Ku Klux Klan and on the other; the black extremists. Landowner Breck Stancill (Richard Burton) could be the saviour in what is a situation rapidly out of control but his view on the events is somewhat tainted by the memory of the punishment meted out to his father by the KKK. Alsto starring in this disturbing movie are Cameron Mitchell as Butt Cutt Cates and O.J. Simpson as Garth, one of the black extremists.
